Baby Marie B.J. (Before Jon)

First in-person date after meeting online. Marie suggested it be at church so she would have the protection of the Holy Spirit.....and there would be a lot of exits in case she needed to flee.

Jon meets Elowyn for the first time. After bribery of bread and croissants, they became two peas in a pod while Marie became the third wheel.

Marie felt bad for Jon since he was living in a van down by the river, so she said he could move in with her.

Talk about fireworks.... look at these two!

Jon bribes Elowyn again, but this time with a popsicle. He spends a week teaching her how to say "marry me" while handing mommy a ring. When it came to the big proposal day, Elowyn did a great job, Marie said YES, Jon's blood pressure went down, and Elowyn got her popsicle.

What's even more special is that Marie's engagement ring was Jon's Grandmother's. Her name was also Marie...it was meant to be!

The 2022 Holiday was extra special knowing that all of our holidays going forward would be spent together.
